Health Center

Burlington County College operates a Health Center which provides confidential, free services to currently enrolled students and employees. During scheduled hours, the health center is staffed by a Nurse Practitioner who is prepared to treat your non-emergency ailments, answer your health questions and make the BCC community an overall healthier place. Additionally, the Health Center is also home to the Student Support Counseling services offered by the College. Additional details on both services are detailed below. 

Health Center

The Health Center is staffed by a Nurse Practitioner is open 2 days a week during the semester. The center is closed during the summer months.  During the Fall and Spring semesters, the center is open on Tuesday (9am - 3pm) and Wednesday (Noon 6 pm). The Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Julie Lambert, is available for the following services during scheduled hours:

  • Treatment of minor illnesses such as: upper respiratory symptoms, rashes, GYN problems, UTI and bladder infections, STDs and minor injuries.
  • Procedures such as: suture and earwax removal
  • Monitoring and control of stable chronic illnesses such as: high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis and asthma.
  • Routine and Sports Physicals
  • Heath History Evaluations and Screenings
  • Health Teachings about topics such as: diet, exercise, weight, smoking, medications, drugs, alcohol, contraceptives and family planning
  • Private and Confidential discussions about individual health questions and concerns
  • Referrals to physicians and specialists as needed
  • Prescriptions written upon examination

Student Health Insurance

Student Support Counselor

Burlington County College recognizes the need some students have for support and counseling throughout their college education. In addition to the colleges academic advising staff, the college also offers students access to a Student Support Counselor. This individual will provide follow-up on crisis situations, coordinate referrals and assist students with personal matters. This position is housed under Student Services and is supervised by the Associate Dean for Academic Advising. This service can be accessed through the Academic Advising Office by calling extension 5606 or extension 1557.

*During the academic semesters, the Health Center is closed on all College holidays.
