Forty-five Burlington County College (BCC) students will showcase 137 pieces of their best art in the biggest student exhibit of the year, the 13th annual Student Art and Design Exhibition at BCC’s Student Art Gallery, 1 High Street. The exhibit opens on Thursday, April 26 and features works from the drawing, painting, photography, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, fashion, and non-credit jewelry classes.
Students used chalk pastel, graphite, colored pencil, digital photography, fashion, ceramics, gouache paint and much more to create the art on display. The BCC Foundation scholarship recipients from Teen Arts 2012 will also be featured in the exhibit.
Join BCC representatives, students and community members for the free opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Student Art Gallery. BCC’s Culinary Arts students in the Techniques and Traditions class will be providing refreshments.
The exhibit will run through July 6 and is free and open to the public. The Student Art Gallery is open from noon to 5 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
