First Annual Teaching ESL and Foreign Language Workshop
Saturday, March 22, 2014. 10am-1pm
Teach ESL or a Foreign Language? Join us for this exciting workshop hosted by Burlington County College’s ESL and Foreign Language Departments. The workshop includes presentations on teaching tips and techniques followed by round table gatherings to discuss current issues and trends. Best of all, Dr. Jean Wong, our key note speaker, will start our day off with a different way to think about language competence.

Dr. Jean Wong has a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the University of California at Los Angeles, a Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of California at Los Angeles, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese language and literature from Connecticut College. Dr. Wong’s research focuses on conversation analysis (CA) and its usage to understand first and second language interaction and its application to second and foreign language teaching. She has published numerous articles, co-authored a book, and presented at conferences worldwide.
