Retired & Senior Volunteer Program - RSVP
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program helps adults aged 55 and older share their wealth of life experiences to address the needs of Burlington County. People are needed to work in a great variety of volunteer opportunities. Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)-Utilize your talents and share your experiences!
RSVP offers “one stop shopping” for anyone aged 55 and over who wants to find challenging, rewarding and significant service opportunities in Burlington County. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice for service opportunities anywhere from a few hours to as often as you’d like. Persons are needed to work in a great variety of volunteer opportunities:
- Tutoring
- Advisory Councils
- Health Insurance Counseling
- Literacy Programs
- Friendly Visits for Seniors

- Fitness and Health Management
- Money Mangement
- Environmental Programs
- Answering Crisis Hotline Calls
- And Many More!

RSVP is a nation-wide program funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service and by the Burlington County College Office of Community Enrichment.
Each person who wishes to volunteer will have an interview with an RSVP staff person. The staff person will discuss the volunteer’s past experience, interests, talents and the varied opportunities for service in the community.
Supplemental accident insurance is provided at no cost to each volunteer while en route and on the job. RSVP provides a mileage stipend for those volunteers making impact in their community.

Money Management Program
Volunteers:
- Help clients continue to live independently by providing help with financial matters.
- Assist low-income elderly or vulnerable persons with budgeting and making sure that bills get paid.
- Volunteering may be done on a flexible schedule
- Training will be provided

State Health Insurance Program - SHIP
The State Health Insurance Program trains volunteers to assist clients with Medicare, Supplemental Health Insurance and Part D. Medicare Savings Program
Make your Medicare dollars work for you!
Low income beneficiaries can save $5,000 a year!
Burlington County residents can get help paying Medicare costs!
The Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) for Low income seniors and Medicare eligible disabled pays:
- Medicare Parts B and D premium
- Deductible
- Co-pay costs
- Coinsurance
The Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled Program (PAAD) provides:
- Prescription assistance for qualified individuals 65 years of age or older or
- 18 years of age or older and receiving Social Security Title II Disability benefits.
A State Health Insurance Counselor (SHIP) is available by phone to assist you in completing the Medicare Savings Program application.
