Adult Basic Education

Adult Basic Skills and Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education Program

Burlington County College offers adults the opportunity to upgrade basic skills, become literate, and obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency. BCC can help adults become full partners in the educational development of their children and complete a secondary school education with sufficient skills and knowledge to succeed in postsecondary education.

Students enrolled in the Adult Basic Skills (ABS) upgrade classes will upgrade their skills in math, reading, and writing.

GED preparation classes will cover the five subject areas necessary to pass the GED Test: Mathematics, Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Reading. Hybrid GED Prep students complete coursework online and attend class once a week.

English as Second Language students will improve English, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
