Prospective Students

In order to be eligible for NJ STARS, students must meet all State mandated academic, financial aid* and residency requirements criteria.

The initial piece of criteria which must be met in order to be potentially eligible is to be identified in the top 15.0% of the high school class at the completion of the 11th grade or graduate in the top 15.0% of the high school class at the end of senior year, according to the weighted class rank.

NJ STARS is not contingent on displaying financial need. However, applications for all Federal and State financial aid must be completed by the appropriated deadlines in order to be eligible for NJ STARS.
