Chika Obianwu is a wife and mother of three. She is taking rigorous classes in preparation for the Nursing program. Her Biology instructor states “Chika is a bright, enthusiastic, responsible and mature student. She was always responsive and attentive, and got along very well with other students. She gave her best efforts in class to understand the course content.” Chika likes to challenge herself. Her past educational experiences have helped her search for knowledge and ways to improve her intellectual abilities. Her ultimate goal is to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
Priscilla Thomas returned to school in 2009, as a result of job downsizing. Since then, the roads traveled have been long, tiring, expensive and very challenging. Although she recently exhibited some financial problems, her tenacity and drive is what keeps her going. Priscilla travels 100 miles a day to pursue BCC’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Human Services programs. Priscilla is a hard working and dedicated mother, daughter, caretaker and student, and is genuinely interested in helping others.
