Biology Program

The goal of the Biology Program is to prepare students with a strong interest in biology for transfer to a four-year institution. Students in this program engage in a broad-based liberal arts and sciences curriculum that is typical of a freshman and sophomore year for a biology major at most four-year institutions. A bachelor’s degree in a biology-related program enables you to enter a wide variety of careers such as those in healthcare, industry, or education. For more information on courses that are offered and possible careers paths please browse the links on the left.

Graduates of this program should be able to:

  • Understand and apply biological concepts and principles.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem solving skills in the analysis of data, in the design of experimental procedures and in the evaluation of outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
