Master’s Degree Prerequisites

Prior Education

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree (3.0 minimum GPA), unless granted provisional acceptance.

Required Accreditation

Your Bachelor's degree must be accredited by one of the following:




  • Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE)
  • Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS)
  • Association of Theological Schools (ATS)
  • Regional accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education



If transferring credits from another institution, that school must also be accredited by one of the bodies listed above.

Transcript Submission

Official transcripts must be sent directly to Bridges Christian College & Seminary from your institution. See the Required Documents section below for submission instructions.

*Please note: These prerequsites apply to all Masters programs at Bridges Christian College & Seminary.

Once we receive all your documentation, you'll be invited to interview with our Admissions Committee. After your interview, the committee will review and vote on your application.

1. All official transcripts from your bachelor's degree and any other colleges attended. 


Official TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE MAILED TO THE MAILING ADDRESS LISTED ABOVE from the issuing institution or emailed from the issuing institution. If the issuing institution is emailing the transcripts, then they may email them to [email protected].


2. Submission of a 5-page research paper, 

The paper can be from the applicant’s undergraduate work.

  • The paper should be double-spaced and in Times New Roman font.
  • The paper should include a title page and bibliography.
  • The paper can be formatted in MLA, Turabian/Chicago Style, or APA.
  • Turabian/Chicago Style formatting is recommended if applying for the M.T.S., M.Div., or M.A. in Biblical Studies.
  • A.P.A. formatting is recommended if applying for the M.A. in Pastoral Counseling.
  • However, if the applicant is not familiar with Turabian or APA, they may submit the sample paper in the formatting they learned at the undergraduate level. They will learn the proper formatting for their program while enrolled at Bridges.

3. Submission of three reference forms from a (1) senior pastor/pastoral mentor, (2) former educator (if graduated college within the last 4 years) or employer, and (3) friend/general. Please note: the references may be completed, scanned, and emailed to [email protected].

Provision of an autobiography describing the applicant’s personal background (birthplace, family life, employment), church affiliation/credentialing, Christian experience (conversion, regeneration, sanctification, Spirit baptism, divine healing, ministry calling), and reason for applying to this graduate school. This document should be one-page, typed, double-spaced with one-inch margins.


4. The applicant must read and sign the Student Handbook covenant agreement form on the last page of the student handbook.

5. A photo copy of a government issued I.D.
