Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a certain age to apply?

Nope. We welcome traditional college-age students and adult learners alike. If you have a high school diploma or GED and feel led to serve in ministry, you're ready.

What if I've never taken a Bible class before?

Perfect. That's exactly what we're here for. Our undergraduate programs are designed to build your biblical foundation from the ground up—no prior theological education required.

Can I apply if I'm still finishing high school?

Yes! You can apply during your senior year. Just send your transcripts now, and we'll add your final transcript once you graduate.

What if my high school or college doesn't send transcripts electronically?

No problem. They can mail official transcripts directly to our admissions office. Just give them our mailing address.

I'm nervous about the essay. What are you looking for?

Honestly, we just want to hear your story. How did you come to faith in Jesus? What's your journey been like? There's no "right" answer—just be yourself. We're not grading your writing; we're getting to know your heart.

How long does the admissions process take?

Once we receive all your documents, we'll schedule your phone interview within a few weeks. After that, the Admissions Committee reviews applications and you'll hear back shortly after.

What about dual enrollment? Can I get a head start on my degree while I'm still in high school?

Yes! High school juniors and seniors can take up to 5 classes with Bridges and earn college credit before graduation. Once you graduate, those credits will transfer toward your college degree with Bridges and/or the certificate of ministry track with the Assemblies of God.
